@Lys: Yeah, I was surprised that I got that one from the abandoned section. I was so ready to see the screen that said that it was already taken...

@Lys: A sparkly dragon would be cool. But I'm happy with the pretty colors I found. I, too, like getting the ones left behind.

@Megan: Maybe I'll feel like braving it over at Gate World. As for now, I'm quite happy here.

Ooh, I love how you all are having fun with the dragons. I just picked up a couple of new ones. I reckon I'll try the incubator thing. I didn't realize that could be used to setup views of multiple eggs at one time.

BTW, keep an eye on your ratio of views, unique views, and clicks. If you get too many unigue views in there, it can actually make the egg soft, or the hatchling sick. I went around and clicked on everyone's eggs though. That seems to help move them along.

My contribution to cutting down on the abandoned eggs is to not breed my current dragons. Every so often I will breed one of the silvers just because I like to be able to give silver eggs away to friends. But I never know for sure that a silver will be the result, so I only do it once in a while.

I'm building up my base pairs from scratch. I released all of my dragons that I'd picked up from the abandoned page. I'm starting fresh and acquiring all cave-born kiddies. Once I have male and female of each breed (except the super rares) I'll start building my army of white and green and orange dragons. It will look like an Irish Dragon Army.

A lot of people are very keen on getting hold of the gold dragons, and other rares. I'm pretty happy with my silvers.

If anybody has a specific type that you want, I can try to breed it and then transfer it to you. I get the email replies, so go ahead and post if you want me to try. I seem to have decent luck getting the blue swirly eggs, depending on the match... I don't want to give too much away at this point. It's much more fun discovering what pops up.

I'm happy to answer questions though.

Cheers!
Em

While I am not concerned all that much with what type of dragons I'm getting, I am bound and determined to get a bunch load of them...

Oh, you'll care once you have a bunch load of them. Plus you'll develop preferences on the grown-ups. They're pretty different styles. Some I like. Some I don't really like. some I love! The Winter eggs are really pretty, and the hatchlings are adorable. The adults are just kind of cool looking. It's possible to freeze a hatchling so it doesn't grow up, or freeze an egg so that it doesn't hatch. Not sure of the point in freezing an egg, but there ya go.

The Christmas eggs hatched some pretty cool critters.

I have a silver dragon egg up for grabs. First one to ask gets it. Then you get to learn the secret of trading dragons!
